Obituary

Harold L. Canada, 83, of Greenwood, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on August 12, 2014. He was born on October 31, 1930 to the late Theodore L. and Doris M. Canada. Harold was employed as a tool and die maker, and was also the owner and operator of G & H Wire. He was an Army veteran. Harold was a member of Greenwood Bible Baptist, and also attended Berean Baptist Church.

Harold is survived by his wife Gladys M. (Clouse) Canada, daughter Sharon Canada Murphy; sons Carlos (Patricia) Canada, Costa Rica, Steven Canada, FL., Bradley Canada, FL.; step son Ronald (Janie) Suits; step daughters Deborah (Larry) Kee and Tamara (Greg) Higgens; sister Shirley Miller; brothers Gerald (Della) Canada, Douglas (Mona) Canada, Las Vegas, Robert (Anna) Canada, Las Vegas, John David (Pat) Canada, and Mark (Ruth) Canada, CA.; 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He is preceded in passing by his sister Barbara Patton, and brothers Ronald and Eugene Canada.

Services will be on Friday, August 15, at 1:00 p.m. at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center. Visitation will be Thursday, August 14, from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the mortuary. Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions have been suggested to the American Cancer Society.
